Nitesh Tiwari’s reply on query about Chhichhore’s entry in 100-crore club: we only want love and support

As per latest reports, "Chhichhore" has got a superb start as it managed to bag an earning Rs 7.32 crore on its very first day.

The flick featuring ace stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor did really well at the multiplexes all over the nation.


On being questioned regarding his latest movie to enter the Rs 100-crore club, an elated Nitesh stated that they are very much delighted with the response they got from the viewers.

“We are really happy with the audience love to the film and that's enough for us. I don't think much about money because there will be times when your film will work at the box-office and there will be times when your film will not work at the box-office,” he said.

He added that they only need the love and backing of the audience and that too on a permanent basis.

He added that he and his team are glad with the kind of love the flick is getting, and the manner public is recommending the film to their friends and families.


“I don't think any creator can ask for more. I feel these guys (film's cast) have put in a lot of hard work and effort during the making the film. The way it has shaped up, I feel really happy for them," the movie maker added, while talking to media people during a theatre visit to endorse "Chhichhore."

His cast members including Varun Sharma, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Naveen Polishetty and Tushar Pandey are also with him in Mumbai.

The movie’s tale follows a group of college friends who experience the positive and the negative times of college and life after it.

When questioned who is the actual 'chhichhore' amongst his movie's cast, he said: "I have just observed chhichhoras and I have told their stories through my film, but I feel real chhichhoras are these guys (film's cast) and the people who lived with me in hostel for four years."

He also stated that he has decided to host a special screening of the movie at a suburban Mumbai mall for his friends from college.

"Tomorrow, I will be watching the film with my friends and after that, I will head to Bangalore to watch the film with 20 batchmates, so lots of reunions are about to happen. I am so happy that the film will bring my hostel mates together," he said.
