Nirbhaya got justice: Girls will now feel safer, says mother; PM tweets ‘justice has prevailed’

The whole nation has got justice. Today, all four responsible people in the Nirbhaya incident were hanged. After 8 years, she got justice and many people expressed their thoughts on this. Her mother Asha expressed that the whole nation got justice. Have a look at what she said.

"Finally, the convicts have been hanged. This was the struggle of eight years. It was delayed but we got our justice. Today, Nirbhaya got justice and girls of the nation will now feel safe. I want to thank everybody - the government, lawyers and everybody else who supported us," she said while addressing correspondents after the hanging.

Swati Maliwal, director of Delhi Commission for Women (DCW)

"It's a notable day. Nirbhaya got justice after more than seven years, her soul probably will find peace today," Maliwal said to a media channel.

Rekha Sharma, director of National Commission for Women (NCW)

"A model has been set today yet it could have been done before. Presently, people realize that they will be hanged, you may expand the date however you will get hanged," Sharma stated, as per news organization ANI.

PM Modi Narendra Modi said, ''Justice has won. Our Nari Shakti has excelled in every field. Together, we have to build a nation where the focus is on women empowerment, where there is an emphasis on equality and opportunity.''
