Munmun Dutta asked to apologise in a video for castesit slur by Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Kumarr Modi? Reports suggest

Whenever an actor is in the news for controversy, it directly impacts their projects. Like recently Shilpa Shetty appealed to the audience to watch her comeback film Hungama 2 after the Raj Kundra case. Similar seems to be the case for Munmun Dutta aka Babitaji from the popular television sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Munmun Dutta has uploaded a video on her YouTube channel where she unknowingly used a casteist slur in a derogatory way prompting hate and criticism. The audience has also noticed that Munmun is absent from the recent episodes of the show. Her absence has fueled the rumors that she has quit the show. However, the producer of the show Asit Kumarr Modi has rubbished all these rumors.

Apparently, Asit Kumarr Modi wants her to apologize in front of the camera. Munmun has already issued a statement in the matter.

Apart from this, every actor on the show from the most senior Dilip Joshi to the most junior Raj Anadkat has been asked to sign bonds that state that the actors cannot use any casteist slurs or foul language which will hurt the sentiments of the people. There were hard copies of the bonds on the set and all the actors had to sign them immediately.
