At a fine arts studio in the city of Noida, Padma Bhushan honored statue maker, Ram Vanji Sutar together with his son, Anil Ram Sutar, have made millions of sculptures, which have been set up at ancient locations and public dwellings all over the world.
16 figures alone have been set up at the Parliament of India, all of them produced by 93-year-old, Ram Sutar.
On the birthday of Sardar Patel on October 31st, his figurine will stand even higher than the Statue Of Liberty at an altitude of 522 feet on an islet close to the Sardar Sarovar dam.
An 18 feet high figurine of the 'Bismarck of India' is set up in the Parliament of India. The design was picked by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi from there and the project was delivered to the Sutars.
While talking in detail on the origin of the statue, Ram Sutar said, “We have submitted the original design. Only the bronze casting has been done in China. China is known to create colossal statues of Lord Buddha so they have huge foundries there. We had to complete the project as early as possible, therefore, only the enlargement process has been done there.”
“Setting up a foundry as large as the one in China would have required a lot of time, infrastructure, arrangements, machinery. Therefore, the computer scanning and 3D imaging technique was used to enlarge the figure in China.”
The 61-year-old, Anil Sutar confirmed the report by stating that several Indian fashion labels have hoards of tailors functioning under them from diverse sources however the ending product remains original only.
The statue makers who were approaching towards Pune to kick off 50 statues with a height of 12 feet each at the World Peace Centre have carved researchers, truth-seekers and sages such as Socrates, Aristotle, Jesus Christ, Lord Mahaveer, Sant Tukaram and other masterworks for the globe’s major pillar-less dome.
The Sutars also have their name connected to the Equestrian figurine of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Memorial that will be shortly established at Mumbai’s Arabian Sea.
Aside from this, a 250 feet tall figure of B.R Ambedkar will shortly get established at the B.R Ambedkar Memorial at Indu Mills in Dadar, Mumbai.
