Malaika Arora backed out from fashion event after organizers didn’t honour the commitment

Not only films Bollywood celebs do many other things for their livelihood like collaboration with big brands, going for performance in an event as they have given their words to them and many ads as a brand ambassador. But sometimes things didn't go well smoothly as they seem.

Recently, according to a leading daily, Malaika Arora was set to travel to Australia for a fashion event on 15 July but she called off last minute over differences with the organizers.

The report said, "Passes for the VVIP, VIP, Gold and Silver tables of the Denim & Diamonds event were already sold. While she was set for the performance till Tuesday, she called it off the next day, few minutes before she was to board the flight. The organizers had promised to pay her the full amount before Wednesday. Since they did not honour their commitment, Malaika declined to go. It was a fair and professional call taken by her."

When the newspaper contacted Vikas Paul of Elite Vin Productions and Friends India Entertainment (FIE), the organizer, he said, "The event got cancelled due to various reasons. There was no issue from the celebrity's [Malaika] end. It's just bad luck and we will plan the event again soon."

When Malaika was quipped about the same that why she backed out at the last moment she said, "Yes, there was some misunderstanding, but it has been ironed out, and the event has been rescheduled."

Earlier Malaika got trolled on social media for posting pictures in swimwear and even people shut their mouth when she divorced her husband and actor Sohail Khan. But she slammed a troll by commenting "I do not indulge in such conversation because it’s below my dignity, but I just had to because you certainly got to get your damn facts right before spewing shit and slagging me off when you know nothing about me except sit and pass judgement on other people’s life."
