Malad tailor’s son tops arts stream of NDA course, attributes triumph to NCC

As per the latest reports, Mittal Kiran Prajapati, the son of a tailor, remained on top of the list in arts stream of the hard-hitting 3-year military and academic training that took place at the National Defence Academy.

At the moment, the hard working boy will fulfil his big dream of becoming part of the Indian armed forces in a period of one year.

After gaining 91% in the Class XII board examination, the bright lad took up the commerce stream, but afterwards, he cleared up the NDA entrance test as well as the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview during the initial try.

On the sidelines of the NDA's convocation ceremony for the 134th course on May 29, he stated, “I got inspired to take up a career in the armed forces after joining the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in Class VIII. NCC changed my outlook towards the armed forces."

His proud dad, Kiran Prajapati, boasts of a tailoring shop in the Malad region.

An elated Kiran Prajapati stated, "It's a great occasion for us. No one from our family has ever served in the armed forces. Mittal has always been brilliant in studies. He has taken all decisions himself. We only supported him. He did not have any coaching classes or tuitions even for the NDA entrance test."

Army subedar G T Reddy, presently placed in Goa, repeated same thoughts for his son, G Naveen Kumar Reddy, who topped the list in the science stream in the forceful 3 years course.

Naveen was the student of Sainik School at Korukonda in the state of Andhra Pradesh before becoming part of the NDA.

A second-generation warrior from his kin, Naveen stated, "My father has been my inspiration and he always supported and encouraged me. He not only instilled discipline but also familiarized me with the ethos and ethics of the Army, which helped me to pursue my dream."

SS Bisht, who topped in BSc computer science stream of the course, is the student of Delhi Public School, Ghaziabad.

SS Bisht stated that he wishes to become part of the special forces of the army.
