R Madhavan, to question about cultural belief, said he repects every faith

Recently, R Madhavan celebrated Raksha Bandhan as well as Avani Avittam with his family. Though, the picture he posted grabbed people’s eyeballs for altogether many reasons.

Maddy shared a picture, wherein he along with his son is sitting in traditional attires and they both are wearing janeu (a sacred thread) prepared for Puja.

Everything was alright until it was spotted a cross in the background. Not only it was pointed out in a tweet but also shared a zoomed in photograph of the same to bring it to people’s eye.

The twitter user asked as to why do they have a across in the background? Is that a Mandir? Do you find Gods in churches? The user also called it a fake drama.

The actor who is quite active on social media noticed this tweet apparently and didn’t leave it unanswered. Hitting back at that with a kickass response, R Madhavan wrote a note and posted on social media.

He wrote - "I really don’t care about respect from the likes of you. I hope you get well soon”.

He further added that he has been taught from his very childhood to maintain his identity with pride but at the same time respect each and every faith, belief and religion and he also hopes that his son follows that too.

He has prayed at every Darga, Gurudwara and Church he has had the good fortune to visit when a temple wasn’t around. They have shown him utmost love and respect. How can he not reciprocate that. All he has is a lot of love and respect to give as his vast travels and experience has proven, is the only true faith. Peace and love to you too.
