It's a season of Biopics in Bollywood. The trend which was started by Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, a biopic on Milkha Singh has given inspiration to several filmmakers. We are witnessing biopics on several sportsperson. In the past we have seen Diljit Dosanjh starrer Soorma,  Priyanka Chopra starrer Mary Kom,  Imran Hashmi starrer Azhar, and Sushant Singh Rajput starrer MS Dhoni and many more are yet to come.

A biopic on Badminton player Saina Nehwal is on its way which stars Shraddha Kapoor. And now, our wait is finally over as a biopic on Tennis star Sania Mirza is finally happening. According to the reports, “Many have been wanting to make a film on Sania’s life for a while now and Ronnie has finally bagged the rights for it. The story will be a balance of her professional and personal life with the latter getting more prominence. The makers will zero down on a director soon, after which they will begin the casting process”.

In a recent interview with a leading daily, Sania was asked about that one quality that she would want her child to imbibe. To which, she said, “The fact that the onus lies on him/her. We make our mistakes and we learn, but we should never have to give up on our freedom of choice. I don’t want my child to grow up and pass the buck saying he/she is in tough spot because he/she didn’t make the decision. That is a complete no-no.”

Biopic on Sania's life was long awaited. And now, we are happy that it is finally happening.

More details on the project are awaited!
