List of successful Bollywood films that are South Indian Films’ remake

Movies have been a part of our lives for ages now. They have been one of the best sources of entertainment for us and have become a very important part of our life. It is also revealed in some studies that watching good movies is a good stress-buster, so it not only for entertainment. Watching movies gives us a good break from our daily monotonous life. The best part about the cinema these days is that movies are accessible in almost any language we want to. Language is no more a barrier where watching good content is concerned. In this article, we have mentioned the list of successful Bollywood movies that are South Indian films’ remake.

1) Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein (Minnale)

Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein was a remake of South Indian movie Minnale and was released in the same year 2001. In both films, R. Madhavan was in the lead role. The film was loved by both the South Indian industry as well as the Bollywood industry.

2) Tere Naam (Sethu)

Tere Naam was a remake of South Indian movie Sethu. Sethu was released in the year 1999 and the lead role was played by Chiyaan Vikram. Sethu also won a National Award under Best Feature Film. Tere Naam was released in the year 2003 and the lead role was played by Salman Khan. This movie was one of his biggest hits and a milestone for him.

3) Heropanti (Parugu)

Heropanti was a remake of South Indian movie Parugu. Parugu was released in the year 2008 and the lead role was played by Allu Arjun. Heropanti was released in the year 2014 and the lead role was played by Tiger Shroff. It was Tiger’s Bollywood debut.

4) Garam Masala (Boeing Boeing)

Garam Masala was a remake of South Indian movie Boeing Boeing. Boeing Boeing was itself inspired from the 1960’s French play with the same name. It was released in 1985 and became a big hit. Garam Masala was released in 2005 and the leads were Akshay Kumar and John Abraham.

5) Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty (Thuppakki)

Holiday was a remake of South Indian movie Thuppakki. It was released in 2014 and the lead was played by Akshay Kumar. Thuppakki was released in 2012 and the lead was played by Thalapathy Vijay.
