As per latest reports, the 11-year-old Sunny Pawar, who belongs to a slum area situated in Kunchi Kurve Nagar in Mumbai, has pocketed the ‘Best Child Actor’ honor for Chippa during the 19th New York Indian Film Festival.
The multi talented boy turned famous with Australian director Garth Davis' highly acclaimed 2016 offering, ‘Lion’ for which he bagged an AACTA honor.
Showcasing his pleasure over his accomplishment, Sunny stated that he is very pleased and this all happens because of his parents.
"I am very happy. This is all due to my parents. I want to be a big actor like Rajinikanth and want to make my parents proud. I want to work in both Bollywood and Hollywood. I never imagined that I will get to visit London, New York."
Recalling about his reunion with ex US president, Barack Obama, the cute boy stated, "I met Barack Obama in the White House. He said Namaste and wished me good luck for the future."
The young actor also said that WWE megastar Triple H presented him a signed belt as a present that is really vey near to his heart.
While talking on his dreams for the coming time, an elated Sunny stated, "I want to earn a big name for my parents. I want to buy a big house for them."
On his character in the Safdar Rahman helmed coming-of-age movie Chippa, Sunny stated that it is a tale where a boy leaves his dwelling to locate his missing dad. On his way, the boy discovers a puppy and afterward he finds his dad.
While discussing about his son's surprising journey, Sunny's dad stated that his son has been in the acting arena for the last 5 years and has visited America, Australia, London as well as China.
“He got an opportunity to visit the White House, met big ministers and celebrities, I am so proud of him," his dad added up.
In addition to AACTA and the recent honor at the New York Indian Film Festival, the talented boy has also bagged a Special Mention Grand Jury award at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards.
