The music industry is blessed with some of the talented artist who with their work have won the heart of the listeners. One such personality is of the Veteran Music director and composer Mohammed Zahur Khayyam Hashmi. It is said to revealed that he has passed away. Hashmi ji is popularly known Bollywood music composer & is known for composing some iconic pieces likeUmrao Jaan and Kabhie Kabhie. The 92-year-old Khayyam few days back was admitted to the ICU of Sanjay clinic in Mumbai a few days back due to infection in his lungs. The loss of legendary music composer is not expected to anyone.
At the age of just 17, he began his musical Career however he got his big break with Umrao Jaan. His notable work include Trishul, Noorie and Shola Aur Shabnam. He had also composed music for actress Meena Kumari's album I Write, I Recite. His non-film songs are Paaon Padun Tore Shyam, Ghazab Kiya Tere Vaade Pe Aitbaar Kiya and Brij Mein Laut Chalo are still some of his famous song among fans. The late musician is a recipient of the prestigious Padma Bhushan and the Sangeet Natak Academi Award.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his Twitter handle wrote“India will remain grateful to Khayyam Sahab for giving us some of the most memorable compositions, which will be remembered forever. He will also be remembered for his humanitarian gestures to support upcoming artists. His loss is extremely saddening.”
Veteran Singer Lata Ji wrote “Mahan sangeetkar Aur bahut nek dil insan Khayyam sahab aaj humare bich nahi rahe. Ye sunkar mujhe itna dukh hua hai jo main bayaa’n nahi kar sakti.Khayyam sahab ke saath sangeet ke ek yug ka anth hua hai. Main unko vinamra shraddhanjali arpan karti hun.”
On his sudden loss, Bollywood celebs and politicians have shown their grief by tweeting on Twitter.
The last rites of legendary Music director will be performed on Tuesday. We all pray that his soul rest in peace.
