Lata Mangeshkar Took Her First Selfie In 1950’s, Shares It On Twitter With Her Fans

Bollywood's legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar is very active on the social media and recently posted a tweet which became the talk of the town. Well, the singer had shared her picture but what caught everyone's attention was her caption.

The popular veteran playback singer's picture was when she was all young and beautiful. Lata Ji further stated that the picture was clicked by herself and not by someone else. It belonged to the year 1950 when selfies were not even invented. Miss Mangeshkar also added that this photo would be called a SELFIE in today’s time.

It seems that this self-shot picture must have been taken by Lata Mangeshkar using a camera with a timer.

The amazing singer of Bollywood shared this picture on the special occasion of World Photography Day which is celebrated on 19th August.

Netizens are loving the picture, and the tweet has got close to 25,000 likes on the popular microblogging site, with nearly 3,000 retweets.

She shared another picture where she is seen showing her photography skills.

Lata Ji has a huge fan following across the country and enjoys a whopping 13 million followers on Twitter.

Selfie came into existence just five years and went on to become a trend. In fact, selfie became the Oxford Dictionaries Word of the Year in 2013, all thanks to its soaring popularity.

The legendary singer has done playback singing for A-list Bollywood stars and has huge thousands of songs. The singer's soothing voice is a treat to hear and people are in love with her melodious voice.
