In an interesting act, a man was seen handing over copies of his resume to passerby on the road side in Phoenix. He did this one week ago and gave his copies of his resume in the hope of getting a better job. The incident was shared on social media and immediately went viral with a lot of tweets and retweets. The man also gave us a great lesson that anything can be converted into a great opportunity, if you choose to do it.
Patrick Hoaglan is a resident of Phoenix and recently got laid off from his job due to some reason. He was working as a forklift operator at a metal recycling company and he was very much disappointed after losing his job all of a sudden. He didn't kno what to do and he desperately needed a job at the earliest. But what he did after that really surprised everyone. He was not the one who would stay back and wait for the job to come. He made a strong initiative and decided to search for the job.
Initially he filled out various online forms and sends his applications for multiple companies. He also shared his resume with various local businesses, but did not receive any response from them. But he didn't go disheartened and he decided to take charge of the situation.
The 30 year old stood by a street corner holding a sign board. In the sign board, there was a message for everyone to take the resume as he was laid off and looking for a new job.
He expected that someone would indeed hire him from among the millions of people in Phoenix.. He had printed 200 copies of his resume and it was at that time that a lady named Melissa DiGianfilippo came across him and used her Twitter account to tweet the above things.
