Kashmera Shah on Marne Bhi Do Yaaron: I always liked films that are light and high on entertainment

Actress Kashmera Shah is all set to make her directorial debut with the comedy “Marne Bhi Do Yaaron“.

While talking to media people to endorse the flick in Mumbai, Kashmera stated, while rolling out its first poster, “It was not a conscious effort to make a comedy. It’s just that I think funny and I write funny and that’s how ‘Marne Bhi Do Yaaron‘ came about. Actually, the title of the film was suggested by our cinematographer Neelaabh Kaul, and we all loved it because it goes well with concept.”


Kashmera also said that she has always been a big buff of movies with lots of humour.

She added that she prefers to watch flicks, which are graceful and boast of high entertainment quotient. But, a few comedy flicks don’t carry a social message for audiences.

“Our film gives a social message in a subtle manner. That’s the kind of films I am fan of and that’s the kind of film I have made,” she said.

While discussing further on the idea of “Marne Bhi Do Yaaron“, Kashmera stated that ii is frightening to witness youngsters giving up so easily in life whether they are unhappy from their jobs, love life or relationships. But, she said life is very beautiful and we have to face everything boldly.


She added that failure she has learnt a lot from failures than her victory.

Sharing her experience as a director of ‘Marne Bhi Do Yaaron‘, Kashmera said: “l cannot become who I want to be by remaining who I am. So, I decided to kick off my high heels and replace them with the shoes of a director. I gave up fear because I knew I had to prove the non-believers wrong.”

The film has Krushna Abhishek, Kiran Kumar, Rajesh Puri, Rishaab Chauhaan and Kishwer Merchant.
