Karisma Kapoor changed almost 30 outfits for her famous 90’s song Jhanjhariya

Karisma Kapoor has been a big star in the ’90s. She has won our hearts with her multiple roles in movies. She has returned with her acting skills in Ekta Kapoor's web series Mentalhood. Karisma Kapoor has not only proved her acting skills but also shown us some amazing dancing skills. In every movie she did, her songs were loved by all of us. In the year 1996, Karisma did a movie opposite Suniel Shetty in which they gave us a hit song Jhanjhariya. But do you know that for this particular song, Karisma had to change 30 outfits?

If you watch the song, you will come to know that Karisma is seen in various outfits constantly. This was revealed by Karisma Kapoor in an interview saying it was very difficult to film the song. She said, "When we started shooting for the female version, I realized I had 30 outfit changes for that one song. Every look was different with different hair and make-up. The steps were quite tough".

She said all the efforts made by her and her makeup team were one of the major reasons why this song was such a big hit. This song had both a female and a male version. She also added saying, "So Jhanjhariya was not only an iconic song but also the most memorable song of my career". This was one of her fond memories. While she recalls this song, she says, "There were two versions of this song - male and female. The male version was shot in a desert in 50-degree heat while the female version was shot over three days in Mumbai. While shooting in the desert, the cast had to dance on the sand which kept flying into our eyes making it very difficult to shoot the song."
