The last project that ace personality Karan Johar directed was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and that too almost 2 years back. The superhit movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil featured Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in pivotal roles.
Are you waiting for the special time when he will say ‘action’ once again?
Well, we are also keen to hear the same. And we are too eager for his new directorial project. But is KJo even thinking over the same option?
Since the well-known personality has a few big projects such as Kalank, SOTY 2, Simmba and others in his kitty already as a filmmaker, we doubt if he’ll be capable of managing his function as a film director and producer at the same time.
However, Karan has already created a special plan for himself.
In his recent interview with media people, the well-known personality talked about his future project as a film director and when he is going to begin that new project.
He stated, “I have locked a screenplay and I am going to direct a film around mid-next year. I look forward to casting for it as soon as I come back from New York.”
It seems really electrifying now.
Imagine KJo making a comeback to direction after a gap of 2 years.
We guess the flick he is going to direct will boast of something different this time. But the big query is who will act in his movie.
Will he join hands with his buddy, Shah Rukh Khan after a big gap of 8 years? Or will Karan prefer to rope in other favorites? Gosh, the tension will keep on increasing till KJo make this big announcement.
In the past, King Khan Shah Rukh had stated that how pressurizing it is to work together with his director friend.
“Karan and I always share a lot of ideas till we come on to a specific one, unless Karan already has a script for me that is ready. We meet and discuss a lot. But it is not as if we meet only if we have one film to discuss. So, there have been a lot of discussions over the last two years now. Before he was busy with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. So yes, we keep discussing but we really haven’t hold on to anything as yet. The actor also believes that they need to move ahead with time and move away from the template that they both created with films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham,” he added.
