Jimmy Shergill Deserves Much More Credit For The Work He has Done In Films

We all have seen Jimmy Shergill's acting skills and he is one of the most talented and versatile actors Bollywood has. For now, Shergill has done many movies and Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster is the only movie he is still associated with alongside Mahie Gill who is also a constant actor in this movie. Sheirgill who plays the role of a bankrupt Aditya Pratap Singh says that he is equally excited for every sequel of the film.

He, in an interview with a leading daily said, "I enjoyed the part from the first time. We don’t need any convincing to do the sequels from anyone. We get excited every time we’re told that the next one is on the cards. See, no producer will make a sequel if the previous films do not do well. The excitement levels are always high with Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, Happy Bhag Jayegi and Tanu Weds Manu. I love SBG because of the dialogues. There is a new gangster in this one. We hope the film gets the audience’s love so we can make the fourth part".

Sheirgill revealed that the upcoming movie will start where the last movie ends. Raja in Jail while Mahie aka Madhavi Devi has become all powerful. He said, "Besides the complicated relationships, there is plotting and scheming by a number of people. The film has got bigger. We have Deepak Tijori and Kabir Bedi as well. There are members of the royal family who are constantly plotting and scheming things".

Alongside Sheirgill Sanjay Dutt has now joined the cast. On working again with Sanjay, Sheirgill said, "I was thrilled when I heard that he’s on board as the gangster. He has done many films as one. My personal favourite is Vaastav. We were excited to see how Sanju Baba and Tigmanshu would come together. It has been amazing".

"People are asking me if I would like to be part of the third film in the Munnabhai series. Of course, I would love to. It is always a pleasure working with Sanju baba and Rajkumar Hirani. We talk in Punjabi. We reminisced about Zaheer (Jimmy’s character in Munnabhai MBBS) and Raju Sir," Sheirgill said while going down the memory lane.

Sheirgill has made a huge fan following as people believes that the actor deserves to be seen and appreciated more. He said, "I take that as a great compliment. I feel it is a big thing to say about any actor. At least no one is saying that he does not deserve what he gets. I am thankful to people who find me deserving of more bigger films and better films. It is very sweet of them to say so. I take it as a compliment," he gushes. "I am happy I am part of films that get made in sequels. I consider myself lucky enough. I did Mukkabaaz with Anurag Kashyap and totally enjoyed it. I heard he’s planning to make the third part of Gangs of Wasseypur. I plan to call him and tell that I did love to be a part of that world".

Jimmy is quite vocal about his choice about the Directors he wants to work with. He revealed, "See, now Anurag is a friend. I am quite point blank about it. I talk about it in all my interviews. I have been wanting to work with Neeraj Pandey. I don’t know why it is not happening. We did A Wednesday and Special 26 together. I feel Special 26 deserves a sequel. I am quite vocal about all this, especially with friends. I know these people for a long time. I want to do a film with Aanand L Rai soon".

Talking about being friend zoned by the Heroines is a matter that went viral as a meme. He said while talking all this as a fun, "C’mon I’m sure there are many other actors who do not get the girl. That was a joke started by Colour Yellow (Aanand L Rai’s production house) for Happy Bhag Jayegi and it will end with them only (laughs out loud). I have had heroines. There is nothing wrong with being friend-zoned".

The actor is doing both in Punjabi and Hindi cinema and when was asked which Punjabi film may be remade in Bollywood, he said, "I feel Dharti, Mannat and Mel Karade Rabba can be made in Hindi".
