Janhvi Kapoor might be just one movie old in the film industry, but she has set up a niche for herself. The actress, who was last seen in Shashank Khaitan's Dhadak, alongside her rumoured beau Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi has become a favorite star.
While the daughter of daughter of late actor Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor has come on board for two other projects, the actress is presently turning viewers’ heads with her most recent performance at the Filmfare awards.
The awards will go on air on April 20.
The actress danced to her heart's content. She performed on a number of songs comprising Padmaavat's popular song, Ghoomar.
Janhvi recreated Deepika's Ghoomar with profusion of energy and eagerness. The video recording also shows sights of her rumoured beau Ishaan Khatter, sister Khushi Kapoor, dad Boney Kapoor and half-brother Arjun Kapoor, who were all cheering for Janhvi while she set the stage afire.
Janhvi, too, shared another snippet of the performance on her social media feed.
She captioned the image as, "My first Filmfare performance!!!! Can’t wait for you’ll to see it tune in!"
When we talk about the work projects, Janhvi's debut movie, Dhadak, was an authorized version of Marathi hit movie, Sairat. The movie made good opening and both the new stars Janhvi and Ishaan's recitals won them critics' admiration. Whilst her promising first appearance in Dhadak put the actress on the audiences’ favourite list, the actress has now joined KJo’s multi-starrer.
Named Takht, the movie features multi talented stars including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Bhumi Pednekar and Vicky Kaushal. The stars will be seen donning the noteworthy characters.
In addition to this, Janhvi will also be witnessed in the biographical movie of first female Indian Air Force pilot, Gunjan Saxena. Helmed by Sharan Sharma, the movie is yet-to-be-named and also features Pankaj Tripathi donning the character of Gunjan's dad.
For the unknown, Gunjan Saxena donned a vital role in the Kargil War in the year 1999 and was awarded the Shaurya Chakra by the Government of India.
