Inspirational: Bengal forest officer uses plastic bottles and rubber tyres to create garden

A forest range officer (FRO) from the Pirakata range under Midnapur division has stunned everyone by creating a beautiful and unique garden. The most unique and striking factor about this garden was that it was created using plastic bottles and rubber tyres and the FRO. Papan Mohanta has been working for the last four years to beautify the garden.

Papan uses the time that he gets after his usual working hours. Papan Mohanta had made use of the vacant space that was present at his Pirakata range office so as to create this astonishing garden.

Papan said that when he was first posted there, a lot of waste was present and hence he decided to beautify the place. Once he started working on it, many people came to notice and appreciated his efforts. He said that he really feels happy when the people appreciate his effort after visiting the garden. Even the local people have also taken inspiration from his experiments and there are some schools that have created such a garden in their premises.

Papan Mohanta has been posted here for the last four years and he said that he use to plant petunia in the winter and as of now there are seasonal flowers. Many nearby schools started following his method after seeing his garden and even the CRPF jawans nearby his place also implemented this method. Papan said that he really feels good when people take inspiration from him. As of now, the FRO has used around 1100 waste plastic bottles and rubber tyres for preparing the garden.

A school teacher named Subinoy Ghosh said that he is also trying to replicate Mohanta's efforts at his school and also added that this will be a big movement in conserving the environment. This garden has become a must to visit spot at this place and has started attracting crowds who visit this place to see the unique garden.
