India is a country where Cricket is celebrated as a sport. Be it a world cup match or a one-day match or Indian Premier League, every match gets thousands of viewers in the stadium and through television and online platforms.
India's U19 team is making headlines for many days and also making us proud that the future of Indian cricket is in safe hands. In the recent tour of India U19 to Sri Lanka, India has been impressing the audience with their exceptional play. In the 'Youth Test', India U19 won against Sri Lanka U19 by 2-0.
Recently, India u19 registered a victory by an innings and 147 runs in the second 'Youth Test' in Hambantota on Friday. Playing in his debut game at this level, left-arm spinner Siddharth Desai shone with four wickets on the final day, as the visitors completed a clean sweep with a 2-0 verdict.
Desai returned impressive figures of 4/40 in 20 overs at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium. While the Lankans conceded a 297-run lead to the Indians after being bowled out for 316 in their first innings, the abject surrender in the second essay made it look worse for the beleaguered hosts.
Beginning the final day on a precarious 47 for three, the Sri Lankans kept losing wickets frequently to be bowled out for 150 in their second innings.
There were two wickets apiece for Yatin Mangwani and Ayush Badoni, too.
Sachin Tendlukar's son Arjun Tendulkar picked up the wicket of opener Kamil Mishara with his left-arm pace bowling on the third evening of his debut test.
We wish them congratulations for the win and good luck in their upcoming games. Stay tuned to Laughing Colours for latest news and updates.
