India Vs England Test 2: Indian batsmen would take more responsibility today

The 1st Test Match between India and England was definitely a nail biting thriller. However, India lost to England with 31 runs despite skipper Virat Kohli's efforts. Now, the 2nd Test Match is happening today and India would expect its batsmen to take more responsibility in order to attain victory against England.

After the defeat in last match, Kohli had admitted that they need to improve their batting. He said,“Our shot selection could have been better. We definitely need to apply ourselves better with the bat, but England came back superbly and we need to take the positives and move forward. There is a lot to learn from the lower order in the first innings, Ishant and Umesh got stuck in the middle,” he said.

The match will happen at The Lord's in London.

For England team, Ben Strokes is out of Second Test as he is in court for criminal charges of affray. Dawid Malan has been dropped out due to poor performance. Chris Woakes and Olive Poper have replaced the two for today's test match.

While talking about Indian team, it still misses the absence of front-line seamers Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Therefore, the team is likely to continue with the trio Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami.

The 2nd Tst match is beginning on 9th August at 3.30 pm (IST) at the Lord's London. The match will be aired on Sony Six, Sony Ten 3, and Sony Ten 3 HD. It will also be live streamed on Sony Liv.

England skipper Joe Root was overwhelmed with the performance in last test match. “I am thrilled to bits. It has been a fantastic team performance despite the ups and downs the credit must go to the bowling unit. Coming into today, it was going to be a stiff challenge and we knew that if we stayed calm throughout, we would give ourselves the best chance to win. This is why Test cricket is this special – it throws up so many things through the day and we did a good job in staying calm,”he said.
