It is very tough to find wild animals in the current day and age. Most of them are either endangered or they are kept in high security facility. But recently, a photograph of a snow leopard clicked by wildlife photographer Saurabh Desai is making rounds on the internet. The image has been spreading like a wildfire because people were not able to spot the leopard in the patches of snow and rocky mountain.
Saurabh Desai captured the picture during his visit to Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh. He posted the picture on his Instagram handle with the caption, “Art of camouflage.”
The image was so good that it got viral in lesser time than expected and has garnered more than 14,000 likes as of now. Many people were finding it hard to spot the animal and they even challenged their friends to spot it as seen in the comment section.
One of the Instagram users wrote, “Man. I have been staring at it for a while. What the hell is it," while one said, "Was taken aback when I noticed those eyes! Inspired!"
Saurabh visited the Kibber village and noticed the leopard at a place which is 8 kms away from the village. It is also the highest motorable village in the world.
If you are unaware then snow leopards are only found at 9,800 feet and 17,000 feet in high and stiff terrains. If we talk about Himachal, then there place of residence is the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary in Lahaul and Pangi in Chamba district and also Lippa Asrang in Kinnaur district.
