IIT Bombay provides a huge salary package of 18 lacs on average to around 1270 campus students

The Indian Institute Of Technology Bombay is one of the leading institutes in terms of the high package offering and this year in the initial phase of placement session at IIT-Bombay is coming to end this weekend and the institute has gained a rise in their all-time high in the count of job offerings to the candidates.

As per the counting, there is a huge growth in the numbers. This year at the campus, a total of 1,270 job offers was received, out of which almost 1,122 were accepted. And not just Indians, the number of international offers also hiked up and went up from previous years which was 65 and this year it reaches 89.

The international offers from various countries included US, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, the Netherlands, and Singapore. With the total numbers of the job offers, the average salary package offered in the initial phase of placements has moved on a hike from Rs 12-13 lakh/annum which was offered in the earlier years to a whopping Rs 17.75 lakh/annum this year, that really shows their wisdom and intellectual status. From the total registered students, the majority of 70% have already been placed in the initial phase itself. While some of the students pursue higher studies also.

The very next phase of the placement will start in January. Among all three PSUs offered 13 jobs in the first phase, and is waiting for the next phase, while the 1,270 offers were made by a count of 361 companies, and it's expected that the numbers will surpass with the coming phase in January.

An official statement was issued by the placement cell which reads, "Statistics this year have proved IIT-Bombay was the most preferred destination for recruiters. The steep rise in the numbers of offers is made possible due to the adoption of new placement policies respecting both students and companies, allowing alumni mentoring and common aptitude test."
