Just like one rotten apple destroys the entire basket full of apples, similarly, certain people with rotten mindset and ideology harms the entire society. However, there are still people who don't get affected by the communal unrest, but instead, make efforts to bring peace and harmony.
The Mankameshwar temple in Lucknow organised Iftar party for Muslim brothers in the holy month of Ramadan. It was organised on Sunday to spread a message of communal harmony among people. The temple had taken this initiative for the first time.
Mahant Divya Giri of the temple told ANI, “Ramazan is a pious month and we should celebrate every festival with great zeal."
According to a previous report from Times Of India, 3 cooks of the temple along with their helpers were to prepare the Iftaar for over 500 people on Sunday morning.
This initiative is being widely appreciated by people from both the communities. Imam Abdul Manan said, “This initiative will strengthen the bond between Hindu and Muslims."
Few days back, a similar incident was reported from the capital state, Delhi where honour killing victim Ankit Saxena’s parents organised an Iftaar party. Ankit was killed by his Muslim lover's family in front of his parents.
