Madhuri Dixit took to Twitter to share a video celebrating 25 years of Hum Aapke Hain Koun (1994). Renuka Shahane and Anupam Kher went down memory lane and shared their memories on Twitter.
It has been a long time since ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’ hit the screens and the film still figures out how to make its audience smile. The magnum opus, which brought a change in Indian weddings during the 90s, featured Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit in the main leads. It highlighted a talented cast including Renuka Shahane, Mohnish Bahl, Anupam Kher, Alok Nath, Reema Lagoo and Bindu among others.
Madhuri, who played the role of a bubbly girl Nisha in the 1994 Sooraj Barjatya-coordinated film, was chosen opposite Salman's character (Prem). Madhuri played Renuka's younger sister in the film.
As the famous film completes 25 years in Hindi film industry today, Madhuri Dixit took to Twitter to share the event in her very own unique style. She posted a video recreating some famous scenes and dialogues from Hum Aapke Hain Koun.
In the video,you can see Madhuri has placed 'the jootis' and 'tuffy's replica toy' alongside the puja thali on the table. Madhuri expressed, "Recreating the moments of Hum Aapke Hain Koun on its 25th anniversary! This movie has given me memories that I can never forget. Renuka Shahane, who played Mohnish Bahl's wife in Hum Aapke Hain Koun, said thanks to Rajshri Films' Sooraj Barjatya for giving her a "once in a lifetime role". She took to Twitter and expressed the following.
Anupam Kher, who played the role of Madhuri and Renuka Shahane's dad in the film, was cast inverse Reema Lagoo in the movie. He took to Twitter to congratulate Barjatya and the entire star cast of the film. He composed that Hum Aapke Hain Koun changed the idea of marriages in India.
In the interim, the producers have decided to have a special screening of the film this week, to celebrate 25 years of Hum Aapke Hain Koun, revealed PTI.
"A special screening is being planned for August 9 at Liberty Cinema with the whole cast including Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit and other cast members from the film. The whole team will relive the moments, they will discuss their experiences," a source near the development educated the office.
Hum Aapke Hain Koun was a modern version of Rajshri Productions' 1982 film Nadiya Ke Paar.
It was the primary Indian film to collect Rs 100 crore in the cinematic world. Hum Aapke Hain Koun won 13 Filmfare Awards, which incorporated those for Best Film, Best Director and Best Actress. The blockbuster hit turned into a life-changing event in Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan's Careers.
