Himesh Reshammiya says Ranu Mondal just take inspiration from Lata Ji but not copied her

Few days back, Lata Mangeshkar had said that imitation is not that much durable companion for success and Bollywood singer Himesh Reshammiya also shared his views on the comments from the legendary singer regarding the singing style of Ranu Mondal.

Himesh said that no one can match the touch of Lata Mangeshkar and revealed that Ranu Mondal is born with various talents, and this new singing sensation has been inspired by Lata Mangeshkar.

Himesh also said that no one can become a legend like Lata Mangeshkar and also stated that Lata is the best.


As per Himesh, Ranu Mondal has just started her beautiful journey and he also feels that the people have misunderstood Lata Mangeshkar's statement. He also considers Lata's statement as words of encouragement and said that we should not copy anyone else and he is also confident that Ranu Mondal has not copied anyone's voice.

Ranu Mondal had become an internet sensation after a video of her singing the song "Ek Pyar Ka Nagma hai" by Lata Mangeshkar at the Ranaghat railway station in West Bengal became viral.


Her voice reached a much larger audience and Bollywood singer Himesh Reshammiya invite Ranu on the singing reality show Superstar Singer. Apart from that Ranu Monfal also recorded Aadat and Teri Meri Kahaani for Himesh Reshammiya's movie Happy Hardy And Heer.

Himesh said that Lata's voice is simply an inspirational source for Ranu Mondal, and he said that we have to see and think in which connotation Lata Mangeshkar has made her statement.

He also believes that if we copy anyone, it will not work well, but taking an inspiration from anyone is really important.

Lata Mangeshkar also said that she is willing to help Ranu Mondal, and also stated that if anyone gets benefited from her work and name, then she will indeed feel fortunate.
