The grand finale of VLCC Femina Miss India took place on February 10, 2021. The event was hosted by Hyatt Regency in Mumbai and many Bollywood celebrities graced the red carpet of the event in their chic outfits.
The grand finale of Miss India 2020 had a jury panel of Neha Dhupia, Chitrangada Singh, and Pulkit Samrat. They were accompanied by renowned designer Falguni and Shaun Peacock. The event was joyfully hosted by actor Aparshakti Khurana who kept the tension in control with his witty sense of humour.
It was reportedly a tough decision for the judges to pick the winner of the Miss India 2020 pageant. However, they did arrive at a collective decision and Manasa Varanasi was crowned as the winner of the VLCC Miss India 2020 pageant.
She was bestowed with the crown by the winner of Miss India 2019, Suman Ratan Singh Rao from Rajasthan. Now post-winning Miss India 2020 pageant, she will go on to represent India at the 70th Miss World Pageant in December 2021.
Speaking of the winner of Miss India 2020, she is born in Hyderabad. By profession, Manasa is a financial information analyst. She is a 23-year-old who likes to dabble in the world of finance and beauty.
Manasa is an avid reader and also enjoys music and yoga. According to Miss India, while growing up, Manasa was a shy child. Being a shy child, she would express herself through Bharatnatyam and music. She says that these art forms alongside her volunteering experience have taught her important lessons on courage and curiosity.
Miss India 2020 pageant winner looks up to three people who have influenced her life. These people include her mother, grandmother, and her younger sister.
Manasa Varanasi also adores global icon, Priyanka Chopra. In an interview, she had said that out of all the beauty queens, PeeCee really stands out for her as she is an explorer.
Praising her alleged role model, Manasa said, “Priyanka Chopra has always chosen to push her boundaries and made her mark in various spaces - music, movies, entrepreneurship, social work, and the list goes on. Also, as a shy kid who tried to make herself heard, I always looked up to her.”
The 23-year-old concluded by saying that she derives her inspiration from Priyanka’s versatility and strength.
During the VLCC Femina Miss India 2020 event, Manika Sheokand from Haryana was declared as Miss Grand India 2020. On the other hand, Manya Singh from Uttar Pradesh has been crowned Miss India 2020 runner-up.
