Hathway to offer 100Mbps broadband at a price of Rs 699 to counter Reliance JioFiber effect

With Reliance JioFiber making a huge stride, long time broadband provider, Hathway broadband just launched their new plan. It was only few days before that Reliance Jio has announced about their JioFiber plans and Hathway seems to be all set to be equipped to tackle the threats posed by Reliance.

As per the previous report, Reliance Jio had said about their new plan that will be launched on 5th of September 2019.

Hathway has keenly studied the specifics hinted by Reliance Jio and came up with a plan that will be matching the JioFiber plan. Reliance had mentioned in the Annual General Meeting that they hold a great amount of stake in Hathway Broadband. But, the fact is that Hathway Broadband services still operates as a separate business than Reliance Jio.

As per some reliable reports, the Hathway Broadband services plan is being priced at Rs 699 per month when compared with the proposed Rs 700 base plan that Reliance Jio will be launching through its Jio Fiber service.

The company has also named their new plan as Hathway 100Mbps Broadband plan and will be offering up to 100Mbps bandwidth to its customers. Hathway will also be providing 150Mbps plan to its subscribers at a rate of Rs 1,499 per month. As per the company, the Hathway 100Mbps Broadband plan is currently restricted on for few selected cities. After evaulating the success of its new plan, they will gradually roll out to the other Indian cities as well.

Hathway has said that they are offering 1TB data as part of the Fair Usage Policy (FUP) and their users can also get access to data at a capped speed of around 3Mbps. Apart from this, Hathway Broadband also runs various other attractive offers, which include the Rs 399 per month with 50Mbps bandwidth. The company has also slashed its prices of some of its major high speed broadband data plans.
