Harshvardhan Kapoor on Abhinav Bindra Biopic: ‘It Is Not An Ordinary Rags-To-Riches Story’

Harshvardhan Kapoor, the son of Anil Kapoor will soon start preparing for his next project after the massive loss of his latest release. Harshvardhan will be seen in the biopic on Abhinav Bindra.

Recently, about Bindra, he says, "the fact that the Olympic gold medallist came from a privileged background did not lessen his struggle to become a champion." This film will be based on the autobiography of Bindra "A Shot at History: My Obsessive Journey to Olympic Gold and Beyond."

“It is not a rags-to-riches story. He has had a certainly privileged upbringing. But just because you are privileged doesn’t mean everything is easy. Also, because you have an access to a shooting range doesn’t mean you are going to go for Olympics and win a gold medal,” Harshvardhan told the leading agency.

This film will not have the conventional biopic plotline, “Most biopics are about the central character, but this a is about a relationship between a father and son as Bindra’s father played a big role in his growth. It is going to be a songless biopic, no lyrical tracks. We will just have a score,” he added.

The Bhavesh Joshi actor said, he will start preparing for the film from next month and also told hopefully the shoot will start from November.

“There is no nervousness. I am approaching it just like anything else. There is a certain kind of unpredictability. He is one of the best actors in the country. He is going to elevate my work a lot… It is going to be priceless,” Harshvardhan concluded.

However, Vikramaditya Motwane's Bhavesh Joshi Superhero starring Harshvardhan Kapoor didn't go well on the screen. While, the director said, “That flop did not help anybody, but that is life. You try to make the best film possible. And, I don’t think Mirzya was a bad film.”“I was convinced that Harsh was the right guy for Bhavesh Joshi Superhero. You cannot foresee hits or flops. You do a film because you want to do it with a certain actor,” he added.
