Recently, Arjun, son of legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar, was spotted outside the Lord's stadium, selling radios on Day 3 of the 2nd Test between India and England at Lord's.
On finding Arjun, spinner Harbhajan Singh, who is present in England for the five-match Test series, was left in awe and decided to take to Twitter to share the moment. Harbhajan's caption wrote,'Look who selling radios @HomeOfCricket today.. sold 50 rush guys only a few left junior @sachin_rt #Goodboy'
During the rain-affected 2nd day of the second Test, Arjun, who is currently in London for a training session with MCC Young Cricketers, helped out the grand staff at Lord’s. Arjun's help was appreciated by the management of the cricket ground, who shared a photo of the youngster in a tweet and wrote, "Not only has he been training with @MCCYC4L recently & but he has also been lending a helping hand to our Groundstaff!"
Recently, the 18-year-old was in the limelight for being selected in the India U-19 squad for the two Youth Test-series against Sri Lanka. But on Friday, during the second day of the second Test between India and England, the young allrounder grabbed attention for his humble nature.
On his debut for the India Under-19 side, Arjun, who is a left-arm bowler, ended his tour with figures 1/33, 1/32 and was dismissed for a duck in the first match. In the second, he scored 14 runs and bowled spells of 0/33 and 1/39.
A revered coach in the domestic circuit, Kumar talking about Arjun’s U19 selection controversy had earlier said, "I don’t know about that as it’s not my area of concern but as a coach, all the boys are equal for me."
"For me, Arjun is no different from other kids. My job is to bring the best out of each and every one of them."
Recently, Arjun was also seen alongside England Women's cricket team's batsman, Danielle Wyatt.
