Happy Birthday Johnny Lever: His Journey From A Factory Worker To The Comedy King Is Inspiring

Johnny Lever is a well-known personality of Indian television as well as Hindi film industry. The ace comedian has been winning our hearts since childhood. Do you remember how he used to pair with Salman Khan, and Govinda in their movies and added a Comedy tadka to it? Probably, no other actor like him has been born yet who could make us laugh the way he did.

The actor is celebrating his 61st birthday today and on the occasion let's look back at his inspiring journey that most of us are not aware of!

Belonged to Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh, he was born in a Telugu Christian family. He was not capable of completing his school education owing to his family’s financial troubles. He began working with his dad at HUL. However in spare time he entertained his coworkers by imitating Bollywood stars.

During 1982, he bagged an opportunity to work with Big B, and during this time, he got noticed by ace star Sunil Dutt and he gave him a film “Dard Ka Rishta”.

Until then, he began getting TV ads additionally that further augmented his fame.

Movie profession

The actor bagged his initial break with Tum Par Hum Qurban and after that he showcased his talent in Dard Ka Rishta. Thus far, the actor has worked in over 350 flicks. He also remained judge of reality comedy shows and worked in small screen shows in addition. He has also done “Partners – Trouble Ho Gayi Double” on SAB TV.

Personal life

Johnny’s life partner is Sujatha and they have two kids a daughter and son named Jamie and Jesse respectively. Jamie has become a stand-up comedian and also worked in a few TV shows and flicks.

In spite of becoming a well-known personality, he is still a great person and people all over the world adore him.

The actor has worked in several films like Raja Hindustani, Karan Arjun, Ishq, Aunty No. 1, Dulhe Raja, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, etc. The list is very long.  He was recently seen in Judwaa 2, and Golmaal Again.
