On Thursday, The United States of America edged closer to the normalcy. The country's health protection agency announced new guideline allowing those who are fully vaccinated to get rid of masks and social distancing protocols in outdoors. Vaccination becomes a vital aspect of the fight against covid-19.
The announcement was made when President Joe Biden was in the middle of a meeting with Republican senators. "I think, it is a great milestone, a great day. It has been possible by the extra-ordinary success we have had in vaccinating so many Americans." Earlier, Biden had made an announcement about scrapping the rule to wear a mask if people are fully vaccinated. However, the scrapping of social distancing norm is a new addition.
The US President and the Senators are among the 35.8% of Americans who have been fully vaccinated. Around 46.6% of people have received their first dose of Covid-19 vaccines. Starting Thursday, the numbers are bound to rise as the inoculation drives for 12 to 15 years of age begins. The vaccines used in US are Pzifer- BioNTech, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson.
