The exposure made by ace film maker, director, and author Madhur Bhandarkar, in the 2014 elections that a segment of the film industry was against Modi turning Indian PM.
At the recently concluded workshop of Natya Shala, which took place at Bhilai, Madhya Pradesh, he also addressed the media people and disclosed that various people from the Hindi film industry were in contradiction of PM Modi.
The ace movie maker also talked over the debate around its movie ‘Indu Sarkar’ and stated that he was really dissatisfied when no one stood up with him in the clash.
Madhur sturdily condemned politicization of movies and asked to ban this thing.
Bhandarkar also terminated the tale that his movie was sponsored by BJP. He added that if he would be in the need of funds, it would be for an overpriced flick and not a small budget flick such as ‘Indu Sarkar’, which got produced in Rs 6 crore.
While discussing about the biggies who inked the anti-Modi petition, the film maker indicated the names including Imtiaz Ali, Vishal Bhardwaj, Nandita Das, Zoya Akhtar, Shubha Mudgal, Kabir Khan, Mahesh Bhatt, and Aditi Rao Hydari.
Back in the year 2014 too, the ace personality had started a discussion on the most popular micro blogging site, Twitter questioning the section of Hindi film industry into two parts under the “garb of stopping so-called divisive forces”.
