For debut film Fanney Khan, Pihu Sand gained 20 kgs of weight to play the character

Pihu Sand will make entry in the Hindi film industry with one of its kind musical comedy Fanney Khan as the young ambitious singer clashing with body shaming issues.

The film that features Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Rajkummar Rao will be in theatres by the coming month.

Prior to its release, Pihu Sand talks all about her journey of turning out to be an actress.

Pihu had put on about around 20 kgs of weight to play this character just like actress Bhumi Pednekar, who also gained body weight for her movie 'Dum Laga ke Haisha'.

Pihu has also praised Bhumi Pednekar for her work, acting and spirit.

While talking over her entry in the Hindi film industry, she stated, "I have grown up watching Hindi films and have always dreamt of being on the big screen. There was an undying spirit and passion in me to achieve what I always dreamt through hard work and consistency, no matter how tough or long the journey will be.”

Revolving around the connection between dad and daughter donned by ace personality Anil Kapoor and Pihu Sand respectively, much awaited flick Fanney Khan is a tale regarding a dad who aims to accomplish the dreams of his daughter turning out to be a star performer while fight against fat shaming.

Super stars Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be seen together in a film after a big gap of 17 years.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be witnessed playing the character of a singing sensation in the movie. Rajkummar Rao will don the role of Ash’s lover in the movie.

Atul Manjerekar has helmed the flick Fanney Khan, which is all set to reach theatres on August 3.
