Ekta Kapoor Kickstarts Ek Villain 2, Again Featuring Sidharth Malhotra In The Lead

Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh starrer 2014's hit movie Ek Villain's sequel has been started by producer Ekta Kapoor, again featuring Sidharth in the lead.

According to a report, "Producer Ekta Kapoor has hired writers to start working on the sequel. Sidharth is expected to take on the lead role again, and a fresh cast will be decided soon."

As per the recent source told media, "Work on Ek Villain 2 has just kicked off. The premise of the original is great for a potential franchise." The first film of Ek Villain franchise was directed by Mohit Suri but Ekta is looking for someone else to direct the Ek Villain 2.

Along with Ek Villain 2, Sidharth and Ekta Kapoor also set to work together in Shotgun Shaadi. Producer Ekta in an interview with the leading daily said, "It's my Grease Lightning (the 1977 American biographical film) in today's times with Sid."

On the professional front, Sidharth Malhotra will next be seen in the biopic of Kargil hero, Vikram Batra. He also made an announcement on his social media regarding his upcoming said: "Dharma Productions & Shabbir Boxwala collaborate to present the true story of bravery & patriotism - the chronicles of Kargil war hero Vikram Batra"

The statement added, "Sidharth Malhotra in the lead as Sher Shah Vikram Batra, Directed by Vishnu Vardhan and Written by Sandeep Shrivastava." Well, it will be directed by Vishnu Varadha under Karan Johar's production. As Sher Shah Vikram Batra written by Sandeep Shrivastava.
