If Dravid or Tendulkar mentors Rohit Sharma, we may get a Test-ready batsman: Gautam Gambhir

After the 2019 world cup cricket held in England, Indian batsman Rohit Sharma has become the talk of the town with his stellar and consistent performance in the tournament. Rohit Sharma was the top scorer in the 2019 world cup cricket and also scored a record 5 centuries in a single edition of the world cup cricket tournament.

He has improved his ODI rankings tremendously and has become the most popular contemporary Indian batsman after Virat Kohli. In each match that he played in the 2019 world cup cricket, he played with a dedication and it seemed that he was there to prove something, and he really proved a lot. He played like a run machine in the tournament and did not spare even the best contemporary bowlers in the world cricket.

The only issue with Rohit's fans is that he has not been able to replicate his ODI performance in the test format and he even does not have a confirmed spot in the test team. But, Gautam Gambhir, the former Indian opener, has come up with an ideal solution for the same. Rohit Sharma's average from 27 test matches is 39.62 and he has scored 1585 runs which includes 3 centuries.

This figure looks so mediocre when compared with his ODI achievements. Rohit has an average of 49 in the ODIs, which include 27 centuries. But, Gautam Gambhir feels that India should not lose its hopes on Rohit Sharma in the test cricket format.

Gautam Gambhir strongly believes that Rohit Sharma can become a complete batsman in test cricket if former players such as Sachin Tendulkar or Rahul Dravid can spare some time to spend with him. Gautam Gambhir also stated that Rohit Sharma looks too boring in test cricket, but he is confident that some kind of advice by the former batting legends can turn it upside down.
