In recent times, Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming TV serial was making headlines from time to time with its special cast and the plot.
It seems that the hearsays can have a break as the well known personality Ekta Kapoor herself has rolled out the promo of her novel addition named Dil Hi To Hai.
The show will feature audiences’ favorite star Karan Kundrra playing the main lead. Yogita Bihani will be seen as his lead actress.
Karan himself shared the first promo of the show on his personal media handle and the show has the capacity to entice the audience.
Karan will be seen donning a philanderer (womanizer) business magnate with a bothersome history. With a lavish setup, the new show is bound to attract the Indian viewers.
Dil Hi Toh Hai will get start from the next month. The first episode of the show will hit the screens on June 11 at 10 pm slot.
Previously, it was stated that the actor was not the show maker’s first preference and that the role could have been pocketed by Pyaar Ka Punchnama star, Omkar Kapoor.
But, Kapoor got substituted by the show producers in the promotional shoot. Other names, which have cropped up for the new show comprise actress Poonam Dhillon, talented Rajat Tokas, hot Pooja Banerjee, Bijoy Anand, and many more. But the makers have to finalize the stars.
While talking to media people on the set of his new show, Karan Kundrra stated, “I am doing it pretty well. I realised it very well in my career that if somebody is doing something, it doesn't mean you also have to follow that path. That makes you a follower, never a leader. I have to make my own path," the actor, who first found popularity with Kitani Mohabbat Hai."
The actor also talked over how, when he got approval to work in the fiction field, he bagged an opportunity to be the host of a super hit crime show like "Gumrah".
"It was not an in-thing at that time, but I did it... People asked me, 'Why would you want to host a crime show?' But we made 'Gumrah' and we made it cool. When I started doing films, people said. 'Oh lovely, you're making films and you're successful with films, why do you want to go back to TV?' But I came back to television and did even better.
"It's the same thing now. I have given a solo hit film... My film ('1921') broke records in Pakistan... It's all because of my fiction shows as people there people watch a lot of our shows, so there it is. I am making my own path. I may sound boastful here, but I am doing a pretty good job," the actor also said.
Karan has also steered clear of being stereotyped.
