Earning Rs 8.71 crores, Dhadak surpassed Student Of The Year 1st Day Box Office Collection

Friday released Dhadak- Hindi Remake Of Marathi Sairat and much-awaited movie of this year as it's a debut for Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor, also starring Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khatter has received a very well response from critics as well as create a magic on Box Office with Rs 8.71 crore in its very first day without a very known star in the movie. Bollywood fraternity also praised the newcomers and at the screening of movie everyone gave their attendance.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and shared that the movie with newcomers is doing unexceptionally well and defeated superhit movie like Student Of The Year which had earned Rs. 8 cr in its first day.

Here's the tweet:

The movie Dhadak has done justice to the official remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat. The Marathi version is a hit and so does Hindi version directed by Shashank Khaitan. Dhadak shows the young love and the pain it brings. The roller coaster of love life around the family and the struggle in the movies is worth the watch. Ishaan Khatter is a star and a Long racehorse where Janhvi did her best above all the pressure of being a superstar’s daughter but it is Ishaan who brings life in the character. Ishaan Khatter has done justice to his character which also helped Janhvi's character worth a watch.

Regarding film’s expected performance in Maharashtra, trade analyst Girish Johar had told indianexpress.com, "I think the Maharashtra belt is important for the movie. There, people will go to the cinemas to see whether the Hindi version of much-loved Sairat is at par with the original or is it better than that. Actually, it can go either way because the comparison is inevitable".

Also, film critic Shubhra Gupta gave an average review which reads, "That sense of playfulness which director Shashank Khaitan, going by his previous films (Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya and Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya) exhibited in his earlier work, a quality which made his young leads spark, is missing from Dhadak. So is Johar’s uncanny ability to ratchet up emotions, to create frisson between two lovers, those moments full of awareness of the other, without which no love story can be effective".
