Bollywood has witnessed some of the classic films with some great stories that won hearts of several and also bagged a number of nominations in award ceremonies. However, over the years, things have been changed. And the current trend is of biopics which have become a favorite among the filmmakers.
The Hindi film industry witnessed a series of biopics in the last few years and the trend doesn't seem to stop. Biopics are usually made on famous personalities who are known for their work and outstanding contribution in any field. But now, as we can see makers are now opting for making biopics on actors, cricketers, politicians, musicians and other prominent sports personality.
The next few years will be witnessing a series of biographies of some well-known celebrities from every field and the work on the same has already started. Various popular actors and actresses have been offered to play the role, while some actors happily agree to do it, some are not interested as it is getting a bit too much. They think every actor is doing the same and they wish to do something different from what their contemporaries are doing.
Talking about the ongoing trend of biopics, Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone expressed her views on the same and said, "I feel like there are too many biopics being made. In the last few months, I can’t count the number of biopics that we’ve been offered. And they’re all great; they’re very strong and powerful. But when it comes to a film, after a point, how much are you going to tell me about those struggles? Even a common man on the street has had a similar journey, if you ask me.”
Further, Deepika also revealed which is her favorite film till date and said, "Piku is my most favourite film of all time. Not because I’m in it, but as a film. Just the way the story and subject was handled, the way it came together, all of it. I’m yet to see a film that did that to me."
Deepika is currently all over the news for her wedding with beau Ranveer Singh which is all set to take place on 20th November in Italy at Lake Como. The celebration will be a private affair attended by only close family and friends. The preparations of the same are in full swing, however, further details are yet to be known.
