De De Pyar De starring Rakul Preet Singh, Ajay Devgn, and Tabu was released on 17th May and the film’s already doing good at the Box Office. The film has earned positive reviews from the fans and critics as of now. The movie made the best use of the first weekend as the collection of the film jumped 40% on Saturday. However, it is expected that the collection of the film will drop on Monday as it is expected to be only 10 crores during the weekday.
The Ajay Devgn starrer didn’t get the type of start the filmmakers were expecting, but the weekend has provided it the much-needed push. According to reports, the film was able to garner only Rs 10.41 crore on Friday, but things took a turn on Saturday as the film grossed Rs 13.39 crores. On Sunday, the film took another jump and made Rs 13.39 crore. The total Box Office collection till then was Rs 38.54 crore.
The movie has experienced a significant growth as the days have progressed. The third day business was affected by the elections in some parts of the country. Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and explained the complete scenario, he wrote, “#DeDePyaarDe witnesses day-wise growth... Biz was affected on Day 3 due to polling in some parts... Mumbai and Delhi-NCR plexes lead... Weekdays crucial... Fri 10.41 cr [incl Thu previews], Sat 13.39 cr, Sun 14.74 cr. Total: 38.54 cr. India biz. #DDPD.”
The film would’ve grossed more if there hadn’t been polling going around in some parts of Mumbai and Delhi-NCR. The major business was affected because of the film getting leaked on piracy website TamilRockers.
However, some of the people have said that the strong performances and good script will definitely make the fans go to the theatres and enjoy it.
