Due to lockdown, the experts are saying that India will face a massive dip in the data speed due to increasing load on the entire telecom architecture. According to the reports, our data towers and their design is not sufficient to bear that much of sudden load.
Jio has its own fiber line but other carriers including Airtel don't even have separate fiber lines to optimize the traffic. Due to this, the data transmission rate will be affected.
According to the reports, an average user consumes almost 10.35 GB per day and because of the sudden work from home instructions, the usage will go up by almost 15% and the current architecture is not equipped with it.
T V Ramachandran, head of Broadband India Forum (BIF), said that the quality of telecom administrations will not be able to handle the load as they are not having the requisite spectrum resources.
Specialists, however, are skeptical, saying Telco systems would face a great crash in the coming weeks, prompting a sharp potential decrease in quality of overall data quality in the upcoming days.
