As per latest reports, a custom-made Harley-Davidson Softail Slim S from Switzerland has turned out to be the most costly bike in the globe.
The bike carries a price label of 12 crores. The excessive pricing though isn't due to the tailor-made customisation the motorbike has gone through, but rather because of the reality that a variety of gemstones and costly stones have been utilized to embellish the motorbike and not to overlook the different gold coated bits on the motorbike, which provides it with its nearly impossible cost label.
As per Samir Merdanovic, Head of Manufacture Movements at Carl F. Bucherer, “It was a long road. The holder, for example, also serves as a watch winder. The watch is therefore wound regularly and continues to run, even if the motorcycle is not ridden for an extended period.”
The Harley-Davidson Blue version has been accredited by well-known Swiss watch and jewellery vendor, Bucherer, to support the company's Blue Editions watch collection.
The motorbike started off as a stock Harley-Davidson Softail Slim S, earlier than the cruiser got altered into what it finally turned. The big attempt took more than 2,500 hours of hard work and the project took up 12 months to design and fabricate.
Motorcycle professionals of Bundnerbike joined hands with eight associates of the horologers of Carl F. Bucherer, the jewellers of Bucherer Fine Jewellery to lastly produce the Harley-Davidson Blue Version.
The Blue version got introduced on May 9, 2018, in Zurich at a special launch affair for what is currently the globe's most pricey bike.
“Every metal element found on this one-of-a-kind motorcycle has been produced, welded, beaten, ground, and polished by hand,” Bucherer said.
It boasts of two ‘safes’ on both the sides of the tank. The right-hand safe boasts of an exclusive Carl F. Bucherer watch based on the Patravi TravelTec II. The safe on the left hand has a Solitaire Heaven ring with a perfect 5.40 carat diamond from Bucherer Fine Jewelry. Also comprised are five personally created pieces from Bucherer Fine Jewellery’s Dizzler ring collection, boasting of 360 diamonds (32.962 carats in total).
