Birthday Special: Shakti Kapoor turns 66, let’s take a look into the veteran actor’s film journey

Hindi Film Cinema's one of the biggest antagonist, Shakti Kapoor is celebrating his 66th birthday today. In the journey of his Bollywood career, he has done more than 700 films and in between, 80's to 81, Shakti's two films in which made him the biggest Khalnayak and still the actor has been praised for his acting skills and comic timing. From playing a baddie to being a good person in the movies, Shakti has done it all. But this Kapoor clown's has made himself in B'town with the bad man's image that later turned for the comedy roles in which he nailed it.

Let's take a look at his journey in the film industry on his birthday:

Shakti Kapoor's real name is Sunil Sikanderlal Kapoor but he doesn't like the name and changed his name to Shakti. He belongs to a Punjabi family and has done his studies from Delhi University's Kirori Mal College.

Shakti Kapoor has done almost 100 movies with well-known veteran actor Kadar Khan and many of us still remember their roles in respective movies together. Govinda and Shakti's Jodi in the movie is still everyone's favorite as no one can compare their energy level and comic timings.

In his very first meeting with actress Shivangi on the sets of Kismat movie, he falls for her and they got married 1982. The couple has two kids Shraddha Kapoor and Siddhant Kapoor. Shivangi is the sister of B'town actress Padmini Kohlapure.

Once Shakti Kapoor grabbed media attention and has been criticized when a news channel did a sting operation in 2005 in which Shakti caught in casting couch case. After which he had to face a wrath of the Film and Television Guild of India, however, things were sorted after a week. Shakti has always been in news for various reasons.

Known for his comic role master Gogo - Andaz Apna Apna (1994), Shakti is considered as the master of comic-baddie niche. Throughout 80's this man has played an antagonist and ruled many hearts with his performance.
