Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat seems to be on the receiving end after his claim that cow is the only animal that inhales and exhales oxygen.
He also stated that humans can cure their breathing problems by massaging the cows. His video claiming this interesting fact went viral and he is seen praising the cows and providing a list of the medicinal properties of cow milk and also their urine. He made this statement at a function in Dehradun.
Trivendra Singh Rawat said that massaging a cow can help anyone to get rid of their breathing problems. He also added that if we live in close proximity with the animal, then it can also help in curing diseases such as tuberculosis.
In the video that he shared on Twitter, he said that, "Cow is the only animal that both inhales and exhales oxygen. This is why we have given it the status of the mother."
He said that while he was the Animal Husbandry Minister in the BJP government in 2007-12, he had done enough research on how useful a cow was.
Few days back, Uttarakhand BJP president and Nainital lawmaker Ajay Bhatt had said that the pregnant women can avoid the case of caesarean deliveries if they regularly drink water from Garud Ganga, which is a well-known river in Bageshwar district.
He said that the water in Garud Ganga had miraculous properties.
Rawat’s remarks were defended by an official and said that such things are a popular belief in Uttarakhand. But, the Twitter users made several comments made on the same. Some defended his remarks, while other Twitter users really came tough on him.
BJP MP Sadhvi Pragya had earlier said that the urine of cow had helped her in curing her breast cancer.
