Coronavirus has a ‘right to live’ like us: Former Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat

Amid the surging cases of coronavirus in the second wave, various comments and letters have been written by Indian leaders. But, one comment stands out. On Thursday, Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Sign Rawat said that coronavirus is living organism with a right to live.

"From a philosophical angle, coronavirus is also a living organism. It has the right to live like rest of us. But, we should think ourselves to be the most intelligent and are out to eliminate it. So, it is constantly mutating itself," he said. He added that it is up to humans to stay out of virus's space to stay safe.

As usual, the comment couldn't leave the eyes of Twitteratis. Rawat was trolled on social media for his unusual observation on coronavirus as the comment went viral. One user even said, "The virus must be given shelter in the Central Vista."
