Comedian Volodymyr Zelensky could become the ‘Next President’ as he wins Ukrainian Presidency in Landslide

Comedian Volodymur Zelensky is a popular TV show actor who doesn't have any kind of political experience. Despite not having any experience, he won a landslide victory in Presidency Elections that took place in Ukraine on Sunday. He played the role of President on a TV show for the first time and it was his experience in politics. Volodymyr acquired 73 percent of the votes and swept away the Incumbent President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

During a campaign party in a bar in Kiev chock-packed with several journalists, Zelensky announced his victory over Petro. The news came soon after the official announcement of the exit poll results. Confetti was shot into the air and Volodymyr expressed his gratitude towards his campaign volunteers. He said that they had 'protected Ukraine'.

The exit poll results gave a top position of Ukraine to a 41-year old novice politician. As we all know that Ukraine is one of the backward countries in Europe in terms of financial stability. Even now, Ukraine is fastened in a war against Russia that deteriorated more than 13000 people since the year 2014.

Zelensky celebrated his victory saluted his success as a symbol of political alteration for different countries in the region. He made this statement before the journalists and a plethora of supporters. He made a declaration that, 'I will never let you down. I can tell all post-Soviet countries: 'Look at us! Everything is possible!'

Most of the people who voted Zelensky expressed their disappointment with Poroshenko saying that they were truly ready to face any kind of risk in their lives. A journalist said, 'Poroshenko has taken the most important thing from the people. He has taken hope from the people. At least with Zelensky, it’s at least some kind of hope.'
