Cheap food available on online apps are claimed to be cooked in unhygienic conditions

Everybody gets attracted when we talk about cheap meals offers. And in today's world its very easy to avail offers online on any food delivery apps like Zomato and Swiggy. These apps let you search for the restaurant to eat out at or order in from. Browse through restaurant menus, photos, user views and ratings to decide where you want to eat, and use the map feature to guide you there. These have made it easy to explore every restaurant in your city, including the ones near your current location, and use search filters to find the one that suits you best. But it is sad knowing that these cheap meals that are offered online are cooked in very unhygienic conditions.

Food Administration recently conducted a survey and revealed that at least 100 eateries across Mumbai Didn't possess the required licenses under the Food Safety and Standards Act. This shows that these eateries do not fulfill the basic standards which are being directed by the food regulatory authorities.

Reports by DNA India said, "Over a 10- day check conducted from September 21 to October 1, the Food and Administration (FDA) found out that 113 establishments were operating in extremely unhygienic conditions. the food they prepared could pose health hazards to consumers who placed their orders with them. many lured by the extremely cheap deals. FDA has issued stop- business notices to all of them."

The food regulator has decided to take a severe action against these eateries. FDA commissioner, Pallavi Darade, told DNA, "It is mandatory that hygiene and sanitation conditions are maintained properly when food is cooked. During our investigation, we found that these basic conditions were not met."

We believe that action will be taken soon stop such an activity as it is a matter of one's health.
