In most of the weddings across the world, the bride and groom indeed expect a good amount of gifts from the guests. The gifts can be in the form of money or any other tangible items.
In an interesting incident, a bride cancelled her wedding after the guests refused her demand of Rs 1,00,000 as gift on the eve of wedding.
A normal person will not be able to sustain the pain and humiliation when they have to cancel their marriage function just 3 or 4 days before the proposed days. But, we will not feel any regret for this woman from Canada and her emails to her friends and family members will really leave us shocked.
As per reports, a woman named Susan from Canada has recently cancelled her wedding only because of the reason that her guests refused to pay $1,500 (approximately Rs, 1,06,000) as her wedding gift. She demanded this through the emails that she sent to them. The incident was posted on Facebook by the bride and a Twitter user shared the same screen shot in which Susan was seen saying that she was very sad to announce the cancellation of her wedding. She also mentioned that she and her fiancé had broken up to some personal reasons and have decided to end their relationship without going anymore further.
If you dig deeper into the post you will clearly understand that the bride was money minded and she also felt the need to mention the price of the ring that her fiancé put on her finger when she was only 18.
She said that she and her fiancé had saved $15,000 for the wedding, but after the suggestion of a psychic, she wished to go for a wedding that would cost $60,000. For this, she demanded such a huge money from the guests and as per Susan, if anyone cannot contribute the said amount, they don't deserve to attend the wedding.
