Biopics have become a new trend in Bollywood. From Mary Kom to MS Dhoni, the biopics on great Indians are released and have set a trend in the industry. Here are upcoming biopics in Bollywood to look forward to.

1. Sanju

Sanju is the biopic of famous Bollywood actor, Sanjay Dutt. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, Dia Mirza, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani. The film is set to release on June 29, 2018.

2. Super 30

Super 30 is a biopic of Anand Kumar. He is famous for teaching underprivileged students and coaching them for JEE exams for free. Almost all students clear JEE every year. Anand Kumar's role is played by Hrithik Roshan. The star cast also includes debutant Mrunal Thakur and CID fame Aditya Srivastava. The film is set to release on January 25, 2019.

3. Salute

Salute is a biopic on India's first astronaut Rakesh Sharma. The lead was initially to be played by Aamir Khan but due to his Mahabharata project, he recommended Shah Rukh Khan's name to the makers and SRK has also accepted the offer. The film may star Kareena Kapoor Khan in lead as well. The film is expected to release next year.

4. Saina Nehwal Biopic

Saina Nehwal is veteran shutter of India. Actress Shraddha Kapoor will play Saina in the biopic. The diva is taking training from Saina's coach Pullela Gopichand. The film is directed by Amol Gupte and may release next year.

5. Shree Narendra Modi Biopic

Shree Narendra Modi's biopic is confirmed recently by actor Paresh Rawal. Paresh Rawal will play the role of the Indian Prime Minister. "We are just locking the script and hopefully it will finish soon, and we will begin to shoot it in September or October," said Paresh Rawal in an interview.

6. Abhinav Bindra Biopic

Indian Olympic star, Abhinav Bindra's biopic is soon to be made. Anil Kapoor's son, Harshvardhan Kapoor will play the role of the legend. Anil Kapoor will play Apjit Bindra in the film. The film is directed by Kannan Iyer and may release in 2019.
