In the last few years, the measurement of a movie to be successful has been changed. Only in 3-4 days of a movie released, it can be known that whether it is hit or flop. These days, even the biggest hit movies can only be in a theatre for around 100 days but one or two half decades ago it does not used to happen,  to survive 100 days in cinema hall for a hit movie was an easy task.These are the movies which made records to stay in cinema hall for very long –

  1. Mohabbatein

Running Time – 1 year

Interesting – The set up of ‘Gurukul’  shown in this movie was in London,England.

2. Kaho na pyaar hai

Release – 14 January 2000

Running Time – 1 Year

 

Interesting – Hritik Roshan became the first actor who was awarded with best debut & best actor together.

3. Raja Hindustani

Release – 15 November 1996

Running Time – 1 year

Interesting – In Filmfare Award Show, Amir was getting nominated from last 8 years but eventually this movie made him to get his first best actor award.

 

4. Hum Aapke Hai Kaun

Release – 5 August 1994

Running Time – 1 year

Interestign – Late Painter Maqbool Fida Hussain got impressed by the character of Madhuri Dixit and claimed to have watched this movie for 85 times.

 

5. Maine Pyaar Kiya

Release –29 December 1989

Running Time – 1 year

Interesting – Rajshree Production also thought about Dara Singh, Piyush Mishra, Faraz Khan & Deepak Tijori to play the role of Prem’s character which was eventually played by Salman Khan.
